This family was hilarious. I think I had as much fun as the kids did. We had fun making silly faces at each other and messing around. We met up at Lake Sacajawea here in Longview at the Asian Gardens. It was fun running around and acting like nut cases. We got a few formal pictures in there, but for the most part I got lots of laughs and fun interacting shots. Those are the best ones, you know!

This session totally fit my style. Thanks B family for letting me photograph your beautiful family!

Hope you enjoy the preview…

I have to admit, this post has a few more photos than I normally show. I couldn’t help it… You take a great looking couple, perfect weather, gorgeous location, and you’re bound to get some good photos! I had a blast photographing them and I took WAY too many photos…

We met up at one of my favorite locations – Lake Sacajawea here in Longview. It’s fitting since they’re the outdoorsy type of couple. They wanted their engagement session to reflect their style. They’re totally down to earth and quite in love. It was so sweet. I can’t wait to photograph their wedding in May. I know it’s going to be just perfect.

Thanks for letting me photograph you and I hope you enjoy your sneak peak…

I met this family out at Willow Grove beach out in Longview. They were so happy and fun!! I had a really good time shooting and editing these. Just looking at them made me smile.

Their little boys were full of energy. They were hilarious to work with. Every time we’d try to get photos of the two boys together, they’d either run away or they’d refuse to look at me. It was quite funny!

In a “lifestyle” session I pose a little bit, but allow families to interact with each other so I can get those “real” moments. I LOVE the laughing, smiling photos more than anything else. I do formal stuff, but sessions like these are my favorite. It’s fun to capture people’s real personalities and see how they interact with each other.

I hope you enjoy this sneak peak of the D family…

Mr. D is almost eight months and FINALLY sitting up on his own. He’s also quite the crawler and gets around the house fairly easily. We finally had to put the baby gates up over the stairs so he wouldn’t try crawling down them. He’s grown so big already!! It’s bittersweet watching him because he’s our last baby. It’s sad to think that I won’t get to go through these stages again. Though I would love to have a million kids, it just wouldn’t work out. My grandma says “ones too many and a million’s not enough.” She’s very right.

He drooled most of the time during our session and I could edit it out, but it’s just so darn cute. He’s getting his two bottom teeth and they have just broke the surface within the last week.

Since the weather has been so nice lately I’ve been doing all of my sessions outdoors. I know it will soon change once we hit the yucky Washington weather. I brought out the lights and played around. It was a pretty good time.

a few funny drooly ones…

Yes, it’s a clinical diagnosis. Often caused my having a parent (usually a mother) who takes photos of their kids on such a regular basis that they develop an acute awareness of cameras. Common reactions include screaming, running, crying, goofy faces, and outright disobedience.

Here’s some examples of what I’m talking about…

I did get some “normal photos” but it’s just not as fun as showing what really happens when I attempt portraits of my kiddos.

Happy Monday everyone!
