This little guy was an absolute dream baby!!!

He hardly fussed and slept almost the whole time. According to his parents, he’s a pretty calm little guy. He only fusses when he’s messy or hungry (boy did they get lucky).

It’s no secret that newborns are my favorite subjects. I think it’s because my three are all out of the baby stage now and it’s so precious to hold a new baby and photograph them. This stage goes by so quickly and as a parent you don’t quite realize it until they’rebigger. Photos are the only way to freeze that time.

Okay, okay, I won’t get all emotional about photos and how much they mean to me. I’ll save that sob story for later. 😉

When this couple called to book a session, the dad excitedly told me that after a very long time, they had finally been able to adopt a little girl. It was a long process full of lawyers and ups and downs. The day he called was the day that she was officially theirs (well 99% completed anyway). We chit chatted and set a date for a couple days later and I got to meet their precious little girl. She was an absolute joy and watching them with their little baby girl just brought tears to my eyes. They were perfect for each other.

She truly is the best Christmas present.

I love the little details. I think it’s because my kids are growing WAY too fast and I have a hard time remembering exactly how they were when they were so little. I find myself taking photos of precious little babies and trying to capture every single detail. It seems like they will be small forever, but they grow so very fast.

This little guy is the baby from this gorgeous mama. He’s the fourth baby in this adorable family. His older siblings are simply perfect and he fits right in. His mama always teases me about having a fourth baby. For now I think three is enough for me!! I think she’s definitely super woman. She’s always wearing a smile and her kids are so well behaved.

Thanks Mrs. B for having me do M’s photos. He’s truly a doll and I really enjoyed our morning together!

he’s just perfect.

I got totally lucky this last week and was able to photograph a newborn and her gorgeous parents! She was simply divine and slept really well for me to get my artistic  newborn photos.

I photographed this ridiculously gorgeous family on Saturday afternoon!  This was one of three sessions I had that day and I kept praying it would stay dry so we could stay outdoors. God was good and we had great success!!! I’m totally in love with this session. In fact ALL of my sessions on Saturday were awesome!!
