In any given week I’m photographing everything from newborns, commercial work, engagements, families, to weddings. There’s never a dull moment around here, that’s for sure. Often times I don’t feel like I have a distinct style since my work varies so much. I’ve found over the years that I don’t like doing the same exact thing over and over so every session I like to create something entirely new for each client. My constant evolving keeps me challenged and I love my job more and more every day.

This is the quote I have as the background on my computer:

“Be daring, be different, be anything that will assert integrity of purpose and imaginative vision against the play-it-safers…“

 -Cecil Beaton

Here’s some recent favorites I’ve posted on Facebook but haven’t taken the time to post yet. I hope you enjoy!!

Bass and Shanna got married at Gorge-ous weddings at the Wind Mountain Ranch this September. I had the busiest wedding season to date, so I’m behind on posting all these beautiful weddings but hey, better late than never, right?? It has taken me over a month to select favorites to post of this wedding. It was absolute perfection and behind every one of these images are dozens more that tell more of the story. Since I can only post so many images I tried my hardest to narrow it down to these favorites…

Thank you SO much Bass and Shanna for having me photograph your perfect day. Another huge thanks to Amanda Wilson for second shooting with me (you rock chicka!!!).

Here’s the gorgeous photos!!!!

The wedding of Tom and Catherine was absolute perfection. The moment we arrived at the location, I knew it would be amazing. Both Tom and Catherine are such fun, wonderful people. The wedding was held at Catherine’s parents house in Oysterville, WA. They used flowers from their own garden and every detail was so carefully thought out. The guests were treated to BBQ ribs and they danced the night away.

Here’s some favorites from their big day….

The day of this session the chance of rain was 90%. Normally we reschedule in these crazy rainy circumstances but Paul was only on leave for a short time before he had to head back to his job with the Army. Colby didn’t mind getting rained on so we went for it and decided the photos were more important than worrying about a little bit of rain. (I LOVE this couple!)

We arrived and the rain stopped. As luck would have it, the sun came out and we caught a rainbow. We just happened to be in the right place at the right time. (Or  rather God is pretty amazing and wanted us to have a perfect session. 🙂 )

The session lasted less than 40 minutes, but it was one of my favorite engagement sessions to date.

Congrats on your engagement Colby and Paul. I cannot WAIT for your wedding!!!

I hope you have a wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year!!!!

The studio is closed to spend time with my beautiful family. We will reopen January 7th and will be back in full swing. I have so many beautiful weddings and photos to post, I can’t wait for you to see what I’ve been up to the last couple of months.

Until then…
