My step-sister Lynsay just had her first baby a couple of weeks ago. I got to take some photos at the hospital for them, but we finally had his first “official” newborn session this last week. He was an absolute perfect model for his aunty. He slept for a good couple of hours and I was able to get a bunch of great photos of him. He’s already model material. We talked about it before he was born so he would be prepared for his crazy auntie who takes lots of pictures. He didn’t seem to mind me much. Thank goodness!!
Thank you Mr. M for being so beautiful and perfect.
I love you little bean. Welcome into this world.
so precious
LOVE this face. Okay maybe it’s “aunty eyes” but he’s so stinking cute when he yawns…
SMILES!!!!
LOVE these
yup, Perfect.
look at those sweet baby rolls…
awwwww
Lynsay’s favorite color is green. We had to include it somehow!!!
These little girls were a hoot. (yes, I’m an owl now).
Other than being so completely adorable, they were fun to work with!!! Meet Miss M who is seven and Miss L who just turned one. Their mom wanted to make sure she captured this sweet time in her little girls’ lives. Thank you so much for choosing me to do their photos. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!!
LOVE this storyboard
Seven year olds are so much fun!! I hope her mama is prepared for all the boys that will be calling her in a few years….
Check out those sparkely eyes!!!
A perfect one year portrait!
This one is too funny not to share. She kept making this face over and over. I couldn’t help but take a photo.
I title it..
“I’m soooo gonna lose it right now if this stupid lady doesn’t stop making stupid animal sounds to get me to smile!!!!!”
Happy friday!
I’m going to warn you ahead of time, this will be photo overload.
I couldn’t help but post a ton from this amazing session. It’s not too often I get a family who wants a lifestyle session. When I do, I go kinda nuts with the photos. This family called me all the way from Seaside, Oregon to do their photos (I was beyond flattered). When asked if I would travel to do their session, I didn’t hesitate. “YES OF COURSE” I said while jumping from my seat. In our phone consultation we decided that we would get some fun lifestyle shots on the beach and then end with some pictures by the ice cream parlor. These types of sessions are what I truly love doing. I feel the most at ease when families are being themselves and I’m able to capture special memories.
Okay, sorry. I’ll get to the point.
THE PHOTOS!!!!!
I hope you enjoy this sneak peak….
the lighting was absolutely perfect for this session. A perfectly warm summer’s day.
my new favorite pose
now you can see where those gorgeous kiddos get their looks from!!!
hello canvas!!!
okay, I seriously want this image of me and my family. LOOOVVVVEEEEE it.
perfect fun
this little stud is only nine months old. He seriously stole my heart. Okay and that photo to the left just makes me smile huge.
yup, could have stolen this little one. I’m thinking of arranging a marriage with my middle guy and her. She’s just perfect!!
Fun with ice cream!!!
ahhh darn.
(this makes me laugh hysterically)
LOVVVEEEE this.
As my mom would say “this would be perfect on a greeting card”
I couldn’t agree more.
Thanks for lookin!!!!
My good friend Melea is expecting her second baby (who’s a surprise). I’ve been photographing Melea and her family for quite some time now. She comes to visit from Portland for our sessions. You can see her son here and here.
I can’t wait until her baby is here next month. If all works out, I’ll be doing her birth photos (and of course newborn photos).
As always Melea, it was awesome photographing you. You’re one ‘hot mama’!!
she’s absolutely stunning!
LOVE
my favorite!
Here’s my attempt # 4,598 of trying to get a nice photo of the three of my children together. Of course them taking direction from their photographer mom is like herding cats into a pool.
So of course I tried to get them to sit still and these photos are what happened.
THIS is exactly how they are, just being kids.
It’s perfect.
somehow saying “okay kids, sit down right here” translates into “mom said I could jump on top of you”
notice how the baby is laughing at them thinking he’s in the clear
he was wrong
don’t worry, he was okay
sweet success!!!
Not technically perfect, but they are all looking and smiling.
