Archive for Babies

It seems like yesterday that my little sister announced the big news that I was going to be an aunt (again). She is expecting a baby boy the middle of next month. He’s gonna be close enough in age that my own little guys will still be able to be buddies with him!

Of course I had to steal her away to get some nice maternity photos before baby M arrives. Lynsay is my kids’ babysitter a couple days a week and they love her to pieces (as do I).  She’s a great sister and a great friend.

(okay, geez this is getting sappy, I need to stop).

I love ya Lynsay!!! I’m so excited to see mr. M when he arrives!!!

She could seriously be in magazines. She’s got a bump, with style. 🙂

I wish I looked that good when I was preggo. I looked like a big ol belly with really short legs. Quite humorous actually.

Okay on to the sizzle poses…

sb22Till next time!

These little guys were born 7 weeks early after their mom was on bed rest for a few months. The babies were in the NICU for 6 weeks and finally came home a couple of weeks ago.  At one point in the pregnancy the doctors didn’t think that baby “N” would survive (he’s the one in green).

Just listening to the story of how “N” survived against all odds made me tear up. I can’t even imagine going through all those struggles and not knowing whether or not my babies would make it.

But here they are as healthy and strong as they can be! They are both perfect in every way.

Thank you for a wonderful session. These little guys melted my heart.

They kept humming and singing to each other as they were falling asleep. It was the most precious thing.

sb1LOVE these shots!!

Baby “P” is just eight weeks old. She’s one of the cutest little things I’ve ever seen! Her hair sticks straight up and her mom says it’s curly when it’s wet, but her hair has a mind of it’s own.

I absolutely love being an on location photographer because I get a different session every single time I come to a new location. Their house is incredibly gorgeous and the light was just perfect when I got there. I immediately knew I wanted a photo of them on the porch as soon as I drove up. The house was built in 1889 and was recently completely restored.

Of course had to get photos of their other babies. Meet Sherman and Wendy. Sherman became my best buddy during our session. He was seriously one of the coolest dogs I’ve ever met.

Thanks so much for having me do your daughter’s first portraits. I had a great time meeting you and your family. I hope you enjoy your preview!

I traveled a bit out of my normal range for this newborn session to Portland, OR (which is only about 50 minutes from me). Miss R was the perfect little squishy newborn. I got some shots of her that I’d been hoping to get for quite some time. She ended up being a great little model. I could post a dozen more favorites, but this is all I have time to show for now.

Thank you so much for having me do your baby’s photos. I had a great time and I hope you enjoy your preview!

They had gotten a card with this particular pose on it and I couldn’t resist duplicating it. It’s one of my fav feet shots ever!!

Just when I think my favorite thing is doing weddings, I have an amazing family session.

The “S” family met me on Friday for a nice family portrait of the three of them. Little Miss is 11 months old and one of the most gorgeous babies I’ve ever photographed (scroll down and you’ll see what I’m talking about). She wasn’t sure about me at first, but she finally warmed up to me and I got some great smiles.

Thank you so much for having me do your portraits. It was truly my pleasure. I hope you enjoy your preview!

I love everything about this photo. She looks like a porcelain doll. Absolutely perfect!!

This one just makes me smile. It’s by far my favorite from the session. I just love happy smiles!!!! I think if I were to put together all of my favorite photographs they would have great big smiles in them.
