She’s gorgeous, isn’t she??!!! She also shows dogs and has won MANY awards over the last few years. It was so much fun watching her puppy do tricks!!

This gorgeous gal came in for her senior portraits a few weeks ago. The weather and lighting was absolutely DIVINE and I wish more high school seniors would do sessions during the summer!!! (hint hint those of you out there…) The weather is so nice and it’s just fun and relaxed.

I had a hard time giving this set a title, because honestly, these two are STUNNING people. I was sad when my “senior season” came to an end a couple of weeks ago. It’s so much fun getting to know these young adults.

First up is Miss Marriah, who is not only gorgeous, she’s SOOOOO cool and such a hard worker. While balancing school, she’s working almost full time!

Same thing with the handsome Mr. Chasen. He also works almost a TON while going to school. His parents were super cool and surprised him by borrowing a jet for a couple of hours so we could do his photo session with it. Talk about AWESOME!!!

It’s senior season again!!!!! I am loving all these sessions lately, it’s a blast!! Not to mention, I get to photograph some incredible (not to mention beautiful) people.

I remember back in my day there were only a few options for senior portraits. You either went to someone’s studio, had photos by the lake, or there was one really cool studio up North that had this really awesome old beat up truck as a prop (yes, I hired them for THAT prop. I do hope to own one myself someday).

Anyway, my point….. I like finding out what a senior REALLY wants for their photos. It’s a fun challenge figuring out what kind of session they want.

When I graduated ten years ago (yes, I’m getting older and less cool) I just wanted to be different. I wanted something fun and unique. I strive to do that for my seniors now.

Okay I’ll stop rambling and get to the photos…. here’s a gorgeous gal from last week….

{Country Girl} Kelso High Senior Photography

This gal was not just your ordinary country girl, that’s for sure!!! She’s an absolute gorgeous young woman and completely fun. We had quite the time hiking out to the river to get photos of her in her beautiful dress. I LOVE that she wanted to do that in her gown. I think I’m going to start suggesting seniors bring their formal attire for this sort of thing!

She was such a good sport about the cold weather, it was awesome. Thank you Miss H for having me do your senior photos! I hope you love them!

Quick sneak peak for this lovely young lady from Mark Morris High School. We met up at the lake to start out with and then hit up some other fun locations around town for her senior portrait session. We feared rain all week, but it ended up being a a perfect (yet chilly) day!!

Ashley – Senior 2009

I had the pleasure of photographing Miss Ashley for her senior photos. Her mom had tried to schedule a session before graduation but unfortunately I was booked up until last week.

She quickly became one of my favorite subjects because she thought my jokes were hysterical. As some of you know, I make random odd jokes throughout my sessions to get people to loosen up and give me a laugh. I’m usually laughed at because they think I’m weird or they laugh just to make me feel better. Ashley gave me great belly laughs and I could tell that she “got me” and my humor.

She brought her best friend Jessica along with her for the session so we got a few shots of them together. They were both great fun!

Garett – Kelso High School Senior 2009

I met this nice young man back in the fall when I did his family’s photos for Christmas cards. I was really excited to hear that he’s a baseball player and wanted to get some photos in his uniform. I’m huge into baseball and especially for KHS since my dear hubby played on the team back ten years ago (yes, I’m getting old!). I’ve had some ideas for quite some time and was able to do a few of the shots I imagined.

Kirsti – Kelso High Senior 2009

Okay, there’s something seriously in the water over in Kelso. These Kelso High seniors I’m photographing are amazing!!

Miss Kirsti is no exception. She and her mom met me out in Castle Rock for her senior photos. We had a blast in all the different locations we tried out. I think we all got worn out by the end of our time together, but it was sure worth it. I got some great photos. Thank you Kirsti for such a great time. I hope you enjoy your preview!

Kyle – Kelso High Senior 2009

This guy is cool.

(Is cool even cool to say anymore? I don’t know. I’m getting old)

Anyway, Kyle has some awesome hobbies. He’s got motorcycles, skateboarding (long boards), four wheelers, and cars.

We did his senior photos out in Rose Valley at some pretty cool locations. We knew for sure we wanted pics of him with his motorcycle in the middle of the road, so we made sure to find a spot with very low traffic . I’m always about safety around here. After all, my hubby is the safety director at his work. If he knew I was operating in unsafe conditions, I’d be in trouble

Kelci – Kelso High Senior 2009

It seems as though lately I’m doing a lot of Kelso High Senior photos!

The last five sessions I’ve done have all been from Kelso High. It all works out since I’m a former Kelso student myself. Both my hubby and I graduated from Kelso High. Our parents even graduated from Kelso High. Heck, even our grandparents graduated from Kelso!

Dont worry though, I have nothing against Longview. Our daughter goes to a Longview school. I love both

This beautiful gal met me out in Kalama for her mini-session. She is full of personality and a lot of fun to work with. Her mom came along for the session and was a great help holding my reflector. Usually I just perform gymnastics trying to hold it up in the proper position, so it’s nice to have help. I’m looking in to hiring an assistant. As flexible as I am, it’s getting tiring trying to balance everything on my own.

Andrea – Kelso High Class of 2009 Senior photos

This beautiful young lady from Kelso High had her full senior session back in the fall. You can see those photos here .

She wanted some fun spring ones this time around so we had a quick 30 minute session. Sometimes the mini session works perfectly if you’re just needing a few shots to choose from.

Andrea is a really easy model to work with, so we got done in record time with plenty of photos. Thanks Andrea for being a perfect model.

This gorgeous gal was a blast to work with. She’s confident and just plain gorgeous. We spent our morning walking around downtown Kalama finding cool locations to photograph. Kalama is one of my absolute favorite locations to photograph Seniors. There is such a variety all within really quick walking distance from each other. For Marriah’s session we went with a combination of edgy, hip, and naturistic.

(is that a word? If it’s not, then I just made one up).

I had the pleasure of photographing this nice young man on Tuesday. He is friends with Thomas, one of my seniors from this fall.

We had fun hiking around and trying to find fun and unique locations to have his photos taken. He was fun and relaxed in front of the camera. It sure made my job easy!!

Ariel and I went out for a “mini” session a week after her regular session since we got rained out on before we could finish our first session (silly Washington weather). She often travels by train up to Seattle, so we thought it would be fitting to do some photos at a railroad station. It turned out to be a fun place and I’m sure I’ll do more sessions here. I always love trying new locations. It keeps me being creative instead of doing the same ol thing all the time.

I met this gorgeous gal out in Woodland for her senior photos. She and I had a blast and she managed to survive the 30 degree weather. Thankfully it didn’t rain till we’d been shooting a little while. We’re going to do another mini session to get the photos that we missed. Sometimes you just can’t count on the weather around here. Oh well, I get to spend some more time with a beautiful model. It’ll be fun!!

I met this gorgeous gal out in Kalama for her senior photos. We got lucky with the weather and the sky was perfectly overcast (a photographer’s dream). We had fun hanging out on the alley ways of downtown Kalama. She was a dream to photograph. She’s absolutely gorgeous and her eyes are amazing!!!

I met Katie in downtown Longview for her high school senior pics. She is a stunning young lady. Her eyes are absolutely gorgeous and I can’t get over what a pretty gal she is!!

We had a blast running around the back alley ways and seeing what cool spots we could find for photos. It’s amazing what you can find if you just walk around town for a little while. The weather was absolutely perfect. Not too sunny, not rainy.

It was one of those days where I LOVE what I do. Seniors are an absolute favorite of mine to photograph.
