Hey there!!! Wedding season is in full bloom and I’m currently MIA a LOT these days. I’m fully booked through August and now taking appointments for September. I’m so incredibly blessed to be so insanely busy. Between weddings, sweet little new babies, mini sessions, and all the other things I do, I’m a bit behind blogging.

So here’s a few from a sweet newborn session a few weeks ago. I’m *hoping* to blog another wedding here very soon, so keep posted.

Having a baby in our family is SOOOOOO exciting. This is my husband’s cousin and their brand new little baby girl. It’s even cooler that they are our next door neighbors. It’s not too often folks with the same last name live right by each other.

She was the EASIEST little girl to photograph. So incredibly sweet and perfect.

This little mister was just over a week old and “as cute as a bug’s ear” (that’s what my dad always used to say when something was super cute).

He was a good little sleeper and we were able to get a good variety of photos. It’s funny how I try so hard to get them to go to sleep yet the wide awake shots are sometimes my favorites. To get a newborn baby looking without crossed eyes is a feat in itself.

I can’t get over how many new babies there have been lately!!! How exciting!!

These little girls were absolutely perfect. When the mom called asking about a twin newborn session, I jumped up for joy!!! I figured it would be a challenge dealing with two little ones, but they were actually easier than my single newborn sessions!! It was the perfect session and I couldn’t be happier with the results.

Thanks to Mr. and Mrs. K for having me photograph your precious little girls. It was truly an honor!

This little angel slept for THREE hours during our session. He was a one in a million baby and I could have photographed him all day!!! He’s the youngest of four kids and fits right in, I’m sure.

I had such a great time with him and his mama. I’m truly blessed to have all these little babies to photograph lately!!!

First Session in my studio!!! Kelso, WA newborn photography

This couple came all the way from Vancouver for a session with me. I’m always so flattered when people call me from Vancouver and Portland! We originally were going to do the session in Vancouver, but ended up doing it in my new studio. It’s not quite finished, but it was put together enough to have a session. They put me at ease and made me feel good about my new space. It’s coming along quite nicely and I will show photos as soon as it’s all done!

Little Miss “S” is seven weeks and an absolute DOLL. Normally I do newborn sessions earlier since they sleep better, but she was a perfect angel. We went out to the park to get some nice outdoor family photos and then brought her back in studio to get the rest. Within minutes we had these beautiful images.

Thank you so much for such a wonderful session. I am so excited about these images and excited about my first in studio session!!

She did this the first try. Did I mention she was perfect!!! Look at those perfect little lips…. sigh.

This precious little chunker is almost ten pounds and only three weeks old. His mama is a petite little thing, so it’s amazing he’s as big as he is. She is a hair stylist at Eclectic Styles where I get my hair done by Shae who also works there. They work miracles at that salon.

Seriously.

Anyone looking for a good stylist should check them out.

(I don’t get any kick backs for saying that, so you know I’m telling the truth!)

I really love doing newborn sessions. It’s so much fun chatting with the moms and getting to hold and photograph beautiful little babies.It seems there’s quite the baby boom going on with all these gorgeous newborns I’ve been photographing lately. I’m having a blast!!

Thank you Autumn and Derek for a wonderful morning yesterday. I enjoyed meeting you and your little man. I hope you enjoy the preview!

Miss E was simply perfect today. I normally don’t post blog previews right away, but this newborn was pure bliss. I couldn’t help but share. Not only was she the most well-behaved newborn, she did “the pose” that I’ve been wanting to do with a newborn for months.
