Miss K.
Because I’m completely and utterly biased towards my sweet little girl and I think she’s the prettiest thing ever.
I got my first camera when she was born almost eight years ago.
She’s still my muse.
I took these at a family barbeque. I probably would have dressed her in nicer jeans had I planned on doing a session with her.
But you know…. this is HER.
Her holey jeans, her messed up hippie hair.
She’s perfect.
It’s been a long rough week this week. Sometimes life throws you challenges and the Lord will guide you through it, but often not without being utterly EXHAUSTED.
So today I’m posting some fun things that make me smile.
Babies and puppies. Honestly, it doesn’t get much cuter than this!!

“huh??!!!”
a baby AND a puppy in one photo.
absolute smiles all around.

how cute is she??!!!
CUTE CUTE CUTE!!!!
This little three year old girl became a big sister just 18 days prior to this photo session. They are both the most beautiful little girls and their parents are pretty good lookin as well. 😉
I had the absolute pleasure of photographing them OUTSIDE last week. Yes, I said outside. It’s a wonderful feeling, being outdoors again. I finally felt like I was “home” after all these months cooped up in the studio. It was a perfect day and I had a perfect family to photograph.
We finished the newborn portion of the session in the studio, of course, since it was about 50 degrees outdoors and getting baby to sleep outside just wasn’t going to happen on a day like that day. The adventure outdoors wore her out and we got lots of beautiful sleepy shots inside.
Thank you so much for letting me capture your memories. I truly love my job.
I don’t know why I love this one so much, but I do!
This little girl just had me in stitches with her personality!!

“love you mama”
(FAVORITE…. would blow this one up huge if it were me and my babies)
precious baby girl with her mommy and daddy
okay seriously this little face just melts my heart…
look at those perfect little lips!!!
perfect little flower
These little girls were absolutely perfect. When the mom called asking about a twin newborn session, I jumped up for joy!!! I figured it would be a challenge dealing with two little ones, but they were actually easier than my single newborn sessions!! It was the perfect session and I couldn’t be happier with the results.
Thanks to Mr. and Mrs. K for having me photograph your precious little girls. It was truly an honor!
my absolute favorite!
the hug
holding hands
pure sweetness
their first family portrait
I’ve tried with MANY newborns to try and get this shot, but this little miss was the very first that would cooperate.
She was such a dream baby.
there’s no way this won’t make you smile 😉
the MIRACLE shot. I got the exact same pose with both twins and the miracle is they BOTH smiled.
I couldn’t have even planned it so perfectly!!!
PERFECT!!!!!
#12!!!!!!
and a VERY close 2nd place goes to #3!!!!
The 1st place winner will get a 16X20 gallery stretched canvas of the image, and since 2nd place was SO incredibly close, they will get an 11X14 of the image.
There were so many people who voted, THANK YOU for making this year’s contest really fun. I would have never imagined that a little boy sticking out his tongue would win first place out of all the photos from 2009.
