Favorites of 2009!!!! (a contest)

Choose your favorite image from 2009!!!!

This has taken me all week to get together (so I apologize for the lack of posts). It’s really time consuming going through a year’s worth of sessions and weddings.

Of course since I photographed so many beautiful folks, I had such a hard time picking my top images. I wanted to narrow it down to 10, but I’m not even close. I wish I could have chosen on image per session, but since this year was so busy it was impossible to do. It’s definitely not a bad problem to have!!

The winner of 2009′s best image will receive a 16X20 gallery wrapped canvas of the winning image.

So please vote for your favorite image….

They are all too good to pick one!! I thought “since I don’t know any of her clients, I’ll pick which one I think is technically the best”…too hard to do – you are way too talented and know too many pretty people!! Good luck w/the contest! Any of them deserve to win!

Goodness!! This vote was nearly impossible!! Jenica –you do such beautiful work.
After looking again and again, I decided to vote for #4. You captured such a sweet
moment and the black and white conversion is quite lovely:)

Very nice selection. I did like a lot of the couple ones, but #5 just tugged me – the innocence of that child’s face, the woder in her eyes, the setting and the black and white – very nice.

After much consideration, #5 wins it for me. That baby is adorable, and I love the moment you were able to capture. All I can say other than that is I wish there were different categories (baby, child, teen, family, wedding) because there were definite wins in there. I particularly like #34, because without faces it inspires the imagination to put your own family in that setting. Awesome shot, Jenica.

Holy cow, all your photos are beautiful!! It was very hard to choose!! I especially like #16 because I totally felt the love between these two individuals when I saw their pic. Weddings can be so stressful and this pic brought out the true feelings of friendship, love, and a moment of silliness they shared..

Hi Sister!! How fun! Thanks for including me in this. Your photos are amazing! Number five (and many others) is also increadible in contrasts. I wish I could fly my family there to visit and have you take a bunch of photos. I still have the ones you took of us long ago and appreciate them so much.

We’re in TX now, living in the small town where my parents live. I’m in the reserves as a Chaplain Candidate and at ACU in the MDIV program, trying to stay up with all the reading and homework. The kids are happy and well too. I’m so glad to have a stable situation for them.

#4 is my pick. I don’t know anyone in all of the photos, except for the B girls. But, in my opinion, for a photographer to capture such natural smiles and fun of 3 children won my vote. Plus, I love it in back& white!
