My muse.

She is how I got started into photography. She’s still my favorite subject and I never tire of photographing her. My baby girl who is growing up so fast.

I was photographing her little brother and the wind picked up. It caught her hair just slightly. I managed to catch this shot in the perfect moment.

This Saturday I had a session with the absolutely stunning Carley. She was so fun to photograph and a gorgeous subject. She made my job really easy. We hit up some unusual locations in Longview and Kelso. I think her and her mom were both surprised with where I chose to do some photos. I always have fun finding new and interesting backdrops to use.  I would get very bored if I did sessions at all the same locations. It’s fun to stretch myself and try something new.

Thank you Carley for a wonderful session. I hope you enjoy your preview!

As always, comments are welcomed and appreciated!!

Taking photos of my kids seems like an easy task, but actually they’re my worst clients. They were all born with a camera in their face and I think they’ve grown quite tired of being photographed. It seems as though they are completely against the idea of mommy taking a nice photo of the three of them together.

I took them out for a “quick 15 minute session.” Of course that’s how long I told the hubby it would take.

I was wrong.

Very, very wrong.

I tried every trick in the book and am convinced they have heard it all.

Anyhoo… this is the best I could get. Not smiling, but at least looking (albiet in different directions, but I will take what I can get).

The next frame was this.

I love little bare feet. I’ve been wanting a shot like this for quite some time, so I’m glad they cooperated.

Spring is finally here!!

I’ve been waiting patiently for the sun to finally make it’s appearance here in the Great Northwest. We had a very long Winter and I’m looking forward to being outside more often. Yesterday and today were especially beautiful. As I’m typing this, my hubby is mowing the lawn and the smell of the fresh cut grass is pouring into the house. It’s such a wonderful time of year.

Here’s a couple of Mr. D.  He’s now almost 15 months old. Time sure flies by!

Erikson is a senior at RA Long High School. We met up there on campus at RA Long to do his photos. I live just a few blocks from there so it was fun to finally explore the high school since I was a Kelso High Graduate.

Congrats on your senior year Erikson. Thanks for hiring me to do your photos and I hope you enjoy your preview!
